Prasantt Ghosh one of the pioneers in the line of modelling has been in the Northeast India Fashion Industry for almost three decades now. Prasantt Ghosh who has been a part of the fashion industry from 1994 has got many awards for his Fashion Designing & Choreography in the North East Region. He has been working over two decades to promote haute couture in the region by uplifting the handloom and handicrafts of northeast India. He has skillfully crafted into exquisite patterns & weaves using traditional handloom fabrics of the region to bring out ethnic beauty with the modern look. Prasantt has showcased the potential of ethnic designs nationally and internationally for over two decades now. Apart from his designing, he has done choreography for almost 2000 fashion and beauty related events all over India and also in abroad.
Prasantt Ghosh had done shows all over northeast many times in Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. He is a regular designer in khadi and village industries commission (KVIC) of Northeast, Artfed, NEHDC, Brawfed. He is the only designer of Northeast who had work internationally in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Srilanka and Nepal. He has actively trained many models of India, Bhutan and Srilanka. He was the only Designer from Assam to get selected to design for the prestigious NATIONAL GAMES -2007 opening and closing ceremony for 3000 children. The fabric he mainly uses are khadi, Northeastern handloom fabrics paat, muga, eri, nooni paat etc.
His designs were featured in leading magazine of india like Femina, Society, Women’s era etc. he had work in northeastern hit films like Bukur Majot Jawle, Suren Soorar, Putek Khel and many serials as a costume designer etc. Prasantt Ghosh has worked with almost all top supermodels models at prestigious shows of India like Dipanita Sharma, Tupur Chatterjee, Candice Pinto, Indrani Das Gupta, Dipti Gujral, Vidisha Pavate, Nina Manuel, Jesse Randhawa, Alesia Raut, Fleur Xavier, Mughda Godse, Jas Arora, Upen Patel, Rahul Dev etc. Prasantt's speciality is to skillfully craft exquisite patterns and weaves using traditional handloom fabrics and handicrafts of the northeastern region with special emphasis on the handloom and handicrafts to bring out ethnic beauty with the modern look and make it more marketable.
